The Deaf Hear, The Dumb Speak
Hi Friends,
I wanted to pass this testimony from one of our "sons" from Pemba, Mozambique.
We were house parents at the Holy Given school and Jonathan (who is in his mid 20's) just got back from Sierra Leone. Andrew and Angella were also a part of the school and I just loved watching how the Lord brought so many connections with people. Jonathan spent his hard earned money going to help Andrew and Angela in Sierra Leone during the Christmas holidays. We're very proud of him. You will be inspired by the testimony he shares. Jeff and I loved our time at the Holy Given Missions school (irismin.com). It radically changed our lives. We hope to someday visit Andrew and Angella too.

Hey everyone,
I have returned from 2 weeks in Sierra Leone. It was a challenging but fruitful trip. The biggest thing was to encourage Andrew and Angella and set the wheels in motion on Iris Sierra Leone. Andrew and Angella have started a church where they live, just outside Freetown. They are very involved in discipling people- through evangelism, home cells, teaching guitar and Bible studies and just building elationships. They have also started 2 churches in villages about 60 kilometers from Freetown. We went walking through these villages sharing about Jesus and inviting the people to church. Andrew found 2 pastors there to shepherd the churches there.
There is a lot of work to do in Sierra Leone. I had the challenge and privilege of staying with Andrew and Angella. I was able to bring a donation for them which Andrew will use to get drums, keyboard and microphones for the church. Andrew wants to get a truck, projector and sound equipment so he can show the Jesus film in the villages. They are simply relying on God and being faithful with what they have. The whole vision is discipleship.
Sierra Leone is challenging. It is in the 10/40 window and about 10% of the country is Christian. About 40 percent are Muslims but cannot read the Quran and like Mozambique don't even understand Islam- they are Muslims because their father was. But like Mozambique, it is easy to evangelize. In the villages people were welcoming to hear us share the gospel. But the need is discipleship as most do not know anything about the Bible. I have to agree that this is the poorest country I've been to. Mozambique looks poorer but the poverty in Sierra Leone is magnified by the wealth some have and the terrible corruption and infrastructure of the country.
I am praying that God will call many to go to Sierra Leone or to support the work there. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to hear more. I hope to post pictures soon.
I want to tell one story- the highlight of the trip. It's a little long but worth a read.
So me and Andrew get on a bus one day (the buses are mini-vans with bench seats bolted down that squeeze up to 22 people inside). We see a girl (named Esther) with a notepad in her hand and she was signaling for us to give her money and on the notepad was a written message describing her situation. Her parents were killed in the war and she was asking for help and money. Esther could not talk or hear. Esther got on the bus but had no money. The bus attendant would not let her off because she couldn't pay. Esther was hitting him and pleading to get off the bus with moans and gestures but the bus attendant didn't care and people were laughing at her. Andrew asked the boy why he was treating her so badly and said that we would pay for her bus fare. I felt grieved by the whole situation and wanted to pray for Esther but it wasn't the best place on the crowded bus. So we got off the bus at our stop and went home.
2 days later we went to the ticket office to confirm my flight. Me and Andrew walk out on the street and see Esther coming toward us with notebook in hand. I said to Andrew why don't we pray for her. So we signal to Esther in sign language that we want to pray. The funny thing is that Andrew asks her if she wants prayer-- in Portuguese!! They speak Krio and English in Freetown!! So we start praying in Portuguese and English - commanding the deaf and dumb spirit to leave, Vem Espiritu Santo, and so forth. Esther is falling back a bit under the presence of God. We keep praying. We have Esther repeat a few words such as "Jesus", "Papa", etc.. Esther begins to repeat the words but barely. Andrew continues to have Esther repeat words as he speaks close to her ear: "Jesus I need you, Jesus I love you, come into my life." Esther repeats these words after Andrew and invites Jesus into her life. It happened so fast I didn't realize that she was actually speaking these words!! Then the Holy Spirit comes upon Esther and she starts shaking. During all this a Christian woman (or an angel) is watching us and agreeing with our prayers as she stands 5 feet away. A crowd begins to form around us watching all the excitement. Esther continues shaking and falls to the ground. We pick her up and the look on her face says it all- she has the look of shock and almost fear- because her ears have just popped open and she can hear the cars on the street. Tears start filling Esther's and my eyes. Andrew continues to talk to her, in normal conversation now. The fear of God falls and Andrew uses this miracle to preach about Jesus. He asks them who wants Jesus and the 10 or so people all raise their hand and want to pray to receive Jesus. I tell them that ohammed is dead and that you can visit his grave but that Jesus is alive and this is proof. So we lead them to Jesus and they ask where is your church? We bring Esther back with us to get her food. One the way home she keeps talking to Andrew and asks him to throw out the notebook she used to beg with. We get back to tell Angella the news and decide to let Esther tell her. A crowd of Andrews family gathers to hear Esther testify. As Esther is speaking she is becoming more articulate. We ask her what happened. It wasn't always this way. She was a bright young girl in school but a jealous stepmother mistreated her and one day in 1994 Esther woke up deaf and unable to speak so she had to drop out. Her parents were killed by RUF soldiers and Esther was stabbed in the arm and knee. Since then she relied on begging to survive. We invite Esther to eat but she refuses and says that she is to full to eat and that this is the happiest day in her life. I am working with Andrew to see Esther, now 17 go back to school.

Your wow power leveling adventure in Iysa begins in the city of wow powerleveling Roumen. This quaint town will be your home base until around powerleveling level 20. Begin your adventure by talking to Elemental Helper Remi and get your first power leveling quest! She will give you a few instructions and then send you to Healer Julia. To locate NPCs (non-player characters) on the map, press the M button. Healer Julia is just up the wow power level steps to the right.
Once you talk with Julia wow powerlevel, she will tell you all about HP (health points - red) and SP (spirit points - blue) stones. These are used to refill your wow powerleveling health and spirit when they get low wow power leveling. You receive a few free stones from Julia when you start your adventure in Isya and can always buy more wow power leveln from her. Julia will also give you your first wow powerleveln quest – a monster hunt to kill Slimes and Mushrooms. They can be found in the forest at the edge of fiesta online town.
TIP
Before you battle fiesta online, check out your character stats. Hit “C” or click the Character icon in the bottom right corner of the fiesta online gold screen. You will see the following character attributes:
STR (strength) – helps melee attacks and defense last chaos
DEX (dexterity) – increases ranged damage, chance to dodge attacks, and lastchaos attack speed
END (endurance) – increases hit points
INT (intelligence) – increases magic damage and last chaos gold resistance
SPR (spirit) – increases spirit points, chance to critical hit and spell cooldown
Your character begins the game with one free stat point and will receive an additional stat point for every increase in lastchaos gold level.
Equip your last chaos gold weapon and get ready to help save Isya! Hit the “I” key or click the Inventory icon in the lower right portion of the lastchaos gold screen. Your weapon will be in your inventory; right-click to equip fly for fun. To attack a flyff penya monster, double click on it. Mages start with an additional skill – the magic missile spell in their dofus skill bar. Select a monster and right-click on a spell or skill to use dofus kamas. Slain monsters often will drop items, so be sure to pick them up! Some are valuable and you can sell them to other players or NPCs.
If you get low dofus on life, use an HP stone by hitting the “Q” key or an SP stone by hitting “E”. You can also assign dofus kamas to your quick bar skills by opening your skills window, clicking on dragging them to the quick bar of your choice.
TIP
When not fighting flyff, rest in your mini house to regain health and spirit points! Hit the “H” key or click on the house icon in the bottom right corner of the game window to bring up the Mini House menu. Click the
“Rest [HOME]” button to enter your flyff penya house. If your house does not appear, move to a less crowded area or away from NPCs and try again. Press “H” again to exit your mini house.
TIP
Keep all the NosTale gold Summoned Beast Leather you find! These are valuable early in the game and can be sold to other players. A lot of the NosTale gold you will find while fighting enemies can also be used for crafting NosTale items later in the game. You can choose up to two crafting professions. Keep the items you find that relate to your chosen crafting professions, and sell the rest to make money. For instance, keep the ones related to potions and scrolls, but sell the ones relating to stones.
